Mental Health Committee
Mission Statement
As a group of community providers in the St. Louis region, The Refugee & Immigrant Consortium’s Mental Health Committee, we are interested in the mental health and social service issues of refugees and immigrants. Our mission is to address the mental health and social services needs of the refugee and immigrant community through advocacy, education, and networking, coordination of resources, collaboration and improvement of service delivery.
Goals for 2010
- To facilitate the sharing of information among the mental health and social service providers of the Refugee & Immigrant Consortium.
- To facilitate the ongoing education of committee members in the area of mental health and social service issues.
- To develop Cultural Profiles that will contain information on the various groups of refugees and immigrants in the St. Louis area for use by clinicians and others working with these groups.
